It came 3 days after the order was placed using standard shipping. When ordering this replacement for your iPod Touch 4th gen, make sure you consider the following:First, remember to order the adhesive sheets so you can stick it all back together when done since they don’t come with it. Note that the one I bought on bigifts.com was not cut out exactly for the Touch 4G , and in fact the die cuts did practically nothing when trying to separate the backing. However the adhesive is made by 3M and works very well. Just have an exacto blade or razor handy to trim as needed so you don’t cover up important things like your camera or HOME button contacts.Second ,the only tools really needed to install the iPod display screen are a blow dryer or heat gun to loosen the existing adhesive, some sort of small prying tool, a very small head screwdriver, and some patience. All those are available online and were shown as optional items when I ordered.
It did include the white home button, adhesive tape, and tools as described. Took the iPod apart and attached the iPod display screen which worked perfectly and left the screen looking like new. The only problem came when I reassembled everything and found the screen to be bulging out maybe 1mm too far which left the front facing camera far enough back that a little bit of light shined through it.
Check You Tube for good instructions and be very careful not to put the razor or prying device too deep or you risk cutting the speaker or camera tapes. Didn’t do it myself but can see how it can easily be done causing this simple fix to become a big problem. Overall easy and an awesome product.I Took the iPod apart and attached the screen which worked perfectly and left the screen looking like new. I Also get a protective hard case for my iPod and a iPhone protective case for my iPhone.
I just finished replacing the screen. It worked perfectly. Although the glass seems slightly thicker than the OE Apple part, it beats $300.00 for a new Ipod or $150.00 for an exchange unit from Apple. HaHa~Go for a replacement for the touch display screen for your iPod , iPhone or other brand touchscreen items when it is broken. You can make a DIY replacement or ask someone more professional to help you. Good luck!
